Know your Disease Activity Score (DAS)

Published: 1 Apr 2015

This booklet will help you to understand what DAS is and includes a wallet card to help you keep track of your appointments with your doctor or nurse.

Your doctor or nurse will consider a lot of information when assessing your treatment. They will want to know about your symptoms and how the condition affects your body and your every day life. This helps them to decide whether your treatment is still right for you. They will use different techniques to assess your RA, one of those is DAS.

DAS stands for 'disease activity score' and is a measurement for rheumatoid arthritis.

You can also watch the 'Know about your Disease Activity Score (DAS)' video below or order a DVD copy which has been developed with the help of leading rheumatology healthcare professionals to help you understand the monitoring process and the DAS28 assessment. It aims to provide an insight into what to expect during your DAS assessment, whilst explaining the reasoning and importance behind the examination.
