EULAR issue new guidelines for the management of RA

Published: 10 Mar 2020

The European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) have issued updated guidelines on the management of RA, which had previously been updated in 2016.

The information gathered for these updates came through a systematic review of studies focused on the safety and effectiveness of disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs), when taken alone or in combination and included standard and biologic DMARDs.

The task force agreed on 5 overarching principles and 12 recommendations by devising related questions, eliciting expert opinions, and reaching consensus by vote.
