People with Rheumatoid Arthritis can have quite a drop in their physical activity levels at onset of the disease. Early diagnosis and modern medical management are helping to control RA. For many getting back to a good level of physical activity is possible. Your multi-disciplinary team will help you make the most of controlled disease (and get you through phases where it is less well controlled!). Physical rehabilitation is usually the role of the physiotherapists in your multi-disciplinary team. This webinar will look at the barriers to good physiotherapy and how your physiotherapist could help you: during treatment and beyond.

The expert speaker for this webinar will be Will Gregory, a Consultant Physiotherapist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Visiting Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. Will has specialist clinical and research interests in inflammatory arthritis in adults with a focus on understanding the effectiveness of exercise and physiotherapy. He has also studied accessibility and availability of physiotherapy for people with RA. He worked as a Topic Expert for NICE in the 2015 RA guideline update. He represents Physiotherapy on the NRAS medical advisory board.

This webinar will be streaming LIVE, so you will have the opportunity to type in questions and have them answered in real time. This is an exclusive opportunity to hear from, and interact with, experts in their field in the comfort of your own home.

It is really simple to join a webinar – just register and all the details will be sent to you about how to join us on the day! All you need is a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone, with access to the internet and Google Chrome (internet browser) or you can download the app (a link would be sent to you on registering for a webinar). All NRAS webinars are free to attend.

If you have any questions, please email webinars@nras.org.uk. We hope to welcome you to our webinar soon!
