About the Volunteer Network
Volunteer for NRAS!
The Network is made up of volunteers throughout the UK, all of whom have rheumatoid arthritis themselves so really dounderstand exactly what it is like to have the disease. Our volunteersparticipate in many different activities and it is up to them when, what and howthey volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering for NRAS, whether it be distributing leaflets into your local hospital, or becoming a telephone support volunteer and helping others who have RA, then please

Go along to an NRAS Group
NRAS has 25 groups across the UK which are run by our volunteers and supported by the Volunteer Network. NRAS groups are a great source of ongoing information and education and many people find meeting others living with RA from their own localities to be of great benefit. Attend an NRAS Information Day
We hold lots of different types of information days, from our 'Workwise Workshops' to discuss issues and rights at work, to meetings in partnership with local rheumatology units where we introduce patients to the hospital team and patients can share information and support. Please

Speak to someone else with RA
If you have RA yourself and would like to speak to someone else who really does understand what it is like to live with rheumatoid arthritis then you may want to speak to one of our telephone support volunteers. NRAS has over 100 volunteers who are trained to speak on the telephone about whatever aspect of your RA that you are most concerned about. Please
