Gifts in Memory of a Loved One
A donation in memory of a loved one is a valuable and positive way to celebrate their life
Many people now choose to honour their loved one by making a donation to their chosen charity in lieu of flowers at the funeral. Gifts like these make a real difference to those living with RA and JIA, and are a very positive way to celebrate the life of your special someone.

Sam set up a Tribute Fund in memory of his stepfather, Lee. Lee was diagnosed with RA in 2001 and lived with the debilitating disease for just two years before he died from complications associated with RA. Sam, who was just 16 years old when Lee died, says:
‘Lee had a massive impact on my life, helping me to achieve my ambitions and he still does. He was more than just a stepfather, he was my best friend and I miss him greatly.’
Sam has taken part in a number of fundraising events for NRAS in memory of his stepfather including a skydive, half marathon, bungee jump, the London Marathon and most recently the Total Warrior Challenge which is an ultimate test of strength, stamina, agility and mental determination. All funds raised are attributed to Lee’s Tribute Fund which now stands at £1,400.
