Sister Liz McIvor

RGN, RSCN, MSc

Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow

Born, bred and educated in Glasgow. Sister Liz McIvor trained in Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow (RGN) and Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Yorkhill, Glasgow (RSCN) between 1975 and 1980.

She was Medical Ward Manager for several years prior to appointment (1997) to present post of rheumatology nurse specialist to the Rheumatic Diseases unit at Stobhill Hospital.

Liz is a member of various health board committees, most recently looking at GP near patient monitoring for DMARDs, the use now and future use of anti-TNF therapies in Glasgow and looking to the future configuration of rheumatology services across Glasgow.

She is speaker and participant at meetings of BHPR, Scottish society of Rheumatology meetings and rheumatology conferences in Nairobi, Kenya and she was awarded MSc in Rheumatology Nursing from Keele University, 2005.
