Dr Chris Kelsey has been a Consultant for over 15 years at Barking Havering & Redbridge University NHS Trust based at Queen’s Hospital in Romford Essex. This is one of the largest Trusts in the UK serving a population of 700,000.

His special interests include Osteoporosis, Paediatric Rheumatology, Ante  Natal Care in Connective Tissue Disorders and Combination Therapies in Rheumatoid Arthritis. He has been involved in Clinical Governance including the development of Quality & Outcome Measures and Speciality Revalidation Patient. He has introduced innovative clinical practices including Telephone Clinics, One Stop Clinics and Rapid Access Clinics.

He is a keen advocate of patient involvement and the preservation of Multi- Disciplinary Rheumatology Teams. He was involved in the development of the Care Pathway for Rheumatoid Arthritis in the Map of Medicine. He is currently a member of The Clinical Affairs Committee at The British Society for Rheumatology.
