Tasocitinib efficacy at different dosages

Tasocitinib, also known as CP-690,550 is being developed as a potential disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug which can be taken as a pill. Tasocitinib has a mode of action different to RA treatments currently available and is known as a JAK inhibitor. In Rome the results of a study using 1, 3, 5 and 10mg of tasocitinib twice a day with methotrexate were presented. Changes in disease activity were measured using the Disease Activity Score (DAS 28) and the results showed that to achieve DAS remission, for people with lower disease activity, doses of 5mg and 10mg were effective but for higher disease activity it was the 10mg dose that was effective.
