New Metoject® range launched

As a result of feedback from patients and prescribers, a new and improved range of Metoject pre-filled methotrexate syringes was launched in the summer specifically designed for use in the treatment of RA.

Metoject now incorporates two new features; methotrexate solution has decreased in volume resulting in a smaller syringe and improved patient tolerability and the syringes now have pre-attached needles making them easier to use

Metoject®  50mg/ml has replaced the previous 10mg/ml range of syringes which is being discontinued. People are being automatically switched to the new Metoject® 50mg/ml range following help and advice from their healthcare professionals.  

Metoject®, the only licensed pre-filled methotrexate syringe was launched in the UK in October 2006 and has been used by over 6,000 people, whilst across Europe, it has been used by more than 80,000 people with RA.
